Vegan Leather Desk Mat Sand

Vegan Leather Desk Mat Sand: a wipe clean mat with a soft backing.

Desk mats protect the desk, quieten typing and define the working area. Materials behave differently: leather warms and patinas, felt is soft and quiet, cork grips, and coated fabric wipes clean. Each mat lists its exact size so you can check it against your desk before it arrives.

Before you buy

Measure the space between your screen stand and the front edge of the desk before choosing a size; most people buy a mat that is deeper than the desk allows. We name materials properly. Solid oak and walnut are solid, not veneered, unless the listing says veneer. Vegan leather is polyurethane on a fabric backing, which wears well and is not leather. Full grain leather is the top layer of the hide and will patina; corrected grain will not. Felt is pressed from recycled PET bottles unless it says wool. Steel is powder coated, and brass is solid brass that will darken unless you polish it.

Which option to buy

Standard is the size most people buy and the one that suits a 1400 by 800 desk. Large is the larger size for a 1600 mm desk or a dual screen setup. Compact is the compact size for a narrow desk or a shared table. We select desk things that look like they belong in a room rather than in a stationery cupboard. Every listing gives the real dimensions, the actual material and the tested capacity, and where something is a coated fabric rather than leather or a laminate rather than solid wood, the listing says so in those words.
